EXHIBITIONIST - because I just want to show of my “naked” body & “private” parts. RESPONSE - A breast feeding her child is no longer considered a “private” part. There is never a sex act taking place. Honestly, with that concept, a mouth is much more VULGAR than a breast. Think about alllll the things you can put in your mouth and put your mouth into during a sex act...and do we have to cover up our mouths? No. A mouth is WAY more offensive and often hurtful than a beautiful breast feeding it’s child. . ATTENTION SEEKER - She’s just doing it for attention! RESPONSE - Yes, I am sharing my images for attention. There I said it. No, seriously, I am! I do it for attention! I want the attention of other mamas so they can read my stories and see my portraits and hopefully find courage, comfort, inspiration, and empowerment in their own lives. I love it when I read comments and get DMs about women being out in public and thinking about a post of mine and found the inner strength to feed their child right there on the spot. If I’ve in any way positively affected you in your personal journey, please share in the comments below. ⬇️ . People.com wrote an article about me and the daycare that was published this morning at 11:30. It has since been the top trending article on many major news sources (including Apple News) all day. ☺️ . I could not imagine a more successful way to spread awareness and continue the cause of normalization! It’s making world headlines! But along with the attention comes A LOT of trolls. That’s okay, it fuels my fire that there’s still lots of work that needs to be done. . Go to my stories for direct swipe up links to some of the articles! . In the pictures I am at @greatwolflodge once again feeding my twins after they were extremely fussy and tired because we swam all day. They just wanted their mommy. I was happy to oblige. Also pictured are Piper, Parker, and Copeland all sleeping. I couldn’t help but snap a shot because they were so cute! And also the whole entire gang! . ? Keep Calm and Nurse On ? my loves ?

Starting of the New Year with a great accomplishment! . We always talk about how important breastfeeding is for the health of our babies, but it’s just as important that we acknowledge all the benefits to mothers as well. . • We recover from childbirth more quickly and easily because the release of oxytocin acts to help the uterus return to its regular size and also reduces PP bleeding. • Reduces rates of getting breast or ovarian cancer later in life. • May reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, and cardiovascular disease, including high blood pressure and high cholesterol. • Creates a unique very powerful physical and emotional connection for us and our babies, making bonding much quicker, easier, and stronger. • It’s saves us a ton of money! Kellymom.com says the cost of exclusively formula fed SINGLETON is up to $3,163 (depending on brand). Breastfeeding my children just through their first birthday has saved me up to $12,652, just since Apr of 2014. . Cheers to an amazing new year of breastfeeding mamas! ? . Actually normalizing breastfeeding is not an easy task. This year, through sharing my portraits, I believe some normalization has been realized. I’m happy to help desensitize the world to the fact that breasts are first and foremost for the feeding of our children. In July of 2018, every single state passed legislation protecting women and their right to breastfeed anywhere and everywhere. It is now our responsibility to desensitize society and make them SEE. Normalization will never happen if we hide in our homes and act as if breastfeeding our children is a “private moment”. <- I hate that comment especially because it furthers the idea of sexualizing breasts. In the act of feeding a child, a breast should be seen as no more sexual than seeing an elbow or a bicep or an ankle. When someone says “private moment” that insinuates that what we are doing is sexual and should be kept behind closed doors. Obviously that is the farthest from the truth, but ignorant people will never realize this if they never see or talk about it. . Here are my top 9 moments on IG for 2018! These are my greatest contributions to normalization. ?Thank you for joining me on my journey and helping me grow this community! I look forward to many more awesome moments in 2019! .
